A Hero

Lucas has clinched it, he is now officially a hero. I always knew he was but last night he saved Mya while they were at family swim and he was glowing with his new confirmed title of "hero".

I wasn't there so I heard about it second hand from Craig, Lucas and Mya, but here's the gist of what happened. I guess Craig turned away for a second - as is the norm for such incidents and when he turned back around he saw Lucas kicking and trying his very best to reach the side of the pool while in his own ring floatie. The hero part? Mya's floatie had popped off, she had gone under, got scared and Lucas was also holding her tight as he pulled her to safety.

What a boy! No hesitation, no fear even though he has been battling his own fear of swimming all along. He can barely kick his way around, yet here he was doing his very best to help Mya.

On top of his great actions, he was also reassuring Mya by saying "I got you Mya", "You're okay Mya". Craig and I couldn't be more proud.
