We've been listening to an audio book in the car called "Boxes for Katje" and it is a sweet story about an American girl sending much needed supplies to a little Dutch girl following the war when necessities were scarce in Holland.
Lucas has listened to the story repeatedly so we got into a discussion about possibly helping someone ourselves. He definitely likes the idea of sending support to someone in need. I explained that some children in places like Africa don't even have schools, clothing or enough food.
He thought about it for a moment and declared that he would like to send food to Grandma and Grandpa in Vermilion because they only have one grocery store. "What if they can't get what they need?" he worried. :)
